Leading Russian critic of Putin’s regime is poisoned in London

November 18, 2006

“Alexander Litvinenko, a former colonel in the Russian secret service and a fierce critic of President Vladimir Putin, was seriously ill under armed guard at a London hospital last night.”

So the Cheka, I mean NKVD, no, the KGB, no, the SVR, no, the FSB-SVR wouldn’t do such a thing? So if they do this, would they use plagiarism by professors to pressure nominations for the Nobel Prize in economics in 1975 and then for low interest rate loans in the 1990’s?

The more intelligence services change, the more they stay the same.

At stake is nothing less than the survival of human civilization

Global warming from mass extinction from human population bubble. Stopping anything that actually causes it like third world population growth and immigration is a hate crime.

How to deal with global warming:

Keep 3rd world population growing with medical and food aid, and aid to dictators. Buffet and Gates have promised to maintain and increase the third world population growth rate with all the money they stole, uh, made.

Keeping the third world population growing will keep up immigration to the developed world. Bush, Blair, Kennedy, and McCain support that. So does cashing in Ken Mehlman.

Tools to achieve this include: legalization, amnesty, open borders, no fences, H1B’s, student visas, Skil Bill, no employer sanctions, no ID’s, tolerate terrorism and Islam, and make it a hate crime to criticize anything that actually causes global warming. The establishment must blast sanctioned PC on all MSM stations and in K-grad school anything that promotes global warming.

Let’s have MSM K-grad school employer mandated NAFTA WTO Turkey admitted
to EU Multiculti mass extinction Muslim Bush Reagan family planning to ensure global warming from the human population bubble that will cause the human population to crash in 50 to 100 years.

That won’t have any effect on social security, stock prices, or CEO compensation of course.

Mel Martinez at RNC and Bush will work hard to pass comprehensive immigration, global warming and mass extinction. This is based on a path to citizenship and pollution.

This article is hypotheses, speculation and prophecy. All other predictions of the decline of the West and the end of species apply.

Friedman Debunked the Gospel of Keynes

November 17, 2006

“One thing that baffles those of us with no training in economics is that two people who hold diametrically opposite views can both be held out as giants of their profession.”

Friedman got the Nobel for Permanent Income Hypothesis, saying that if your income falls or goes up a lot, you smooth out your consumption. Modigliani had already published this as the life cycle hypothesis, and Modigliani won the Nobel after Friedman. Why the switch?

Friedman also came up with the idea in 1968 that there was not a long term tradeoff between inflation and unemployment. But Phelps just won the Nobel Prize in 2006. Phelps did the paper before Hakansson in the Martin Beckmann, Phelps, Hakansson sequence on applying dynamic programming to consumption savings and portfolio problems in multiple time periods under uncertainty.

Friedman was on Markowitz’s Ph.D. thesis that was accepted in Sep 1955. Markowitz got the Nobel Prize in 1990 for mean variance portfolio optimization. The press release says, formulas of algebraic simplicity and wide acclaim.

But Markowitz in 1987 and earlier in his American Finance Presidential speech admitted it was Roy in 1952 who came up with the formulas taught to MBA’s. So why did the press release and the textbooks say Markowitz when even Markowitz admits its Roy?

In 1966 Hakansson published a Ph.D. thesis at UCLA that he presented at a conference at a session chaired by an MIT prof, Karl Shell. But in 1969, Paul Samuelson, Robert Merton got NSF grants for doing the same thing in part. Stanley Fischer at MIT in 1969 got his Ph.D. thesis and cited the Hakansson thesis as given to him after he did his thesis.

In his 1998 autobio, Friedman says he had a fight with Koopmans around 1952, both were at Chicago. In 1952, the Managing Editor and Editorial Secretary of Econometrica had to resign. Cowles moved the editorial office from Chicago to Northwestern. Markowitz had a graphical analysis of mean variance optimization with short sale constraints published at UChicago in March 1952 in Journal of Finance. Roy got published in July 1952 in Econometrica. This was after Cowles found out something was wrong. Was Friedman the one who told Cowles?

Hakansson’s thesis had Marschak on the Committee, who was also at Chicago in 1952. Koopmans hired Hakansson at Yale in 1967 with Stiglitz. Samuelson was President of the Econometric Council in 1952 so he had to be told what happened. Markowitz didn’t get his thesis until Cowles Commission left Chicago in July 1955, the next quarter, Markowitz got his Ph.D. But that was the short sale case, and he admits Arrow told him how to do it.

Arrow and Samuelson are uncles of Larry Summers. In 1972 there was a conference in Warsaw of economists from West including MIT and Chicago and Soviets. Kantorovich and Koopmans shared the 1975 Nobel Prize. Friedman had to wait a year. Friedman was very angry over that.

Martin Beckmann wrote a response to Friedman defending Koopmans in a recent book. Beckmann was also at Chicago around 1952 as was Arrow. Valery Makarov was at the Warsaw Conference for Russia. In the 1990’s, Fischer (IMF) and Summers (Treasury) gave billions to Russia in loans.

Berezovsky had a Ph.D. Math Moscow State and managed people who knew of above history. Jacob Wolfowitz knew the whole story up to 1981. Jacob Wolfowitz published a paper in 1952 in the same issue of Econometrica as the Andrew D. Roy paper.

USAO Mass started investigating Harvard HIID Shleifer grant from 1997 to 2005. Chubais was on payroll of HIID under Shleifer for a time and negotiated loans to Russia for Russia. John Yoo is a prof at Berkelely where Hakansson is. Scalia has had 3 econ Ph.D./J.D. clerks.

Pakistan, India, Russia, China, Bush team, Clinton team, Wall Street all are linked in. Pak and India nuke tests in 1998 while this going on. After 9-11, Pakistan knew. Did Bush use during Bush v. Gore? India got its nuke deal and Pak just did a missile test.

All this is speculation and hypotheses. All other disclaimers apply.

Milton Friedman Lost Witness on Russia’s Plagiarism Files

November 16, 2006

“SAN FRANCISCO — Milton Friedman, the Nobel Prize-winning economist who advocated an unfettered free market and had the ear of three U.S. presidents, died Thursday at age 94.”

Questions Friedman might have answered on Russia’s Plagiarism Files and use of plagiarism.

1. Was Koopmans a communist or spy?

2. Was there plagiarism involving Andrew D. Roy a victim in 1952 at U Chicago. Was Roy work being given to Markowitz?

3. Was Milton Friedman the one who told Alfred Cowles this was happening?

4. Is that why Cowles had the Managing Editor of Econmetrica resign and move the editorial office to Northwestern?

5. Was pressure used by the Soviets on plagiarism to get nominations for Kantorovich and Koopmans for the 1975 Nobel Prize 1 year ahead of Friedman.

6. Why did Friedman have a feud with Koopmans that he was still writing about in his 1998 autobio.

7. This was written about in a recent book by Martin J. Beckman who was at Cowles Commission around 1952. Beckman takes the side of Koopmans, who is dead. Why are Friedman and Beckmann still fighting this in 1998 and the 2000’s? Is it because Russia used this to pressure low interest rate loans in the 1990’s from Stanley Fischer at IMF and Larry Summers at Treasury, a nephew of Arrow and Samuelson?

8. Stanley Fischer was hired at UChicago in 1969 from MIT. Did they think he had plagiarized Nils Hakansson?

9. Did Richard Posner as a U Chicago prof know of this in the 1970’s?

10. Was Eric Posner given tenure at U Chicago in 1998 as an attempt to influence Judge Posner not to tell this to the FBI or USAO Mass? (speculation of course)

11. Did Russia use pressure to get IMF loans in the 1990’s based on this?

12. Was this info passed to the US Supreme Court during Bush v. Gore to influence the vote against Gore? (this would be hearsay from Friedman)

13. Did they know in the 1950’s that Russia had used plagiarism to help get Klaus Fuchs into Los Alamos and to pressure Niels Bohr to try to influence Churchill and Roosevelt to give the bomb secret to the Soviets?

14. Did Paul A. Samuelson on the Council of the Econometric Society in 1952 know the true story about the Managing Editor of Economerica resigning, along with the editorial Secretary, and the editorial office being moved?

15. Harry Markowitz didn’t receive his Ph.D. until Sep 1955 Quarter, the first date after the Cowles Commission left University of Chicago in July 1955. Was this because Alfred Cowles wouldn’t let Markowitz get his Ph.D.? Or was it someone at Cowles like Koopmans?
Above is speculation not assertions.

16. Markowitz admitted that he didn’t do the formulas of “algebraic simplicity” and “wide acclaim” taught to MBA students and in textbooks in 1987, 3 years before he got the Nobel Prize with the press release using exactly those words. Why did the Press Release use these words? Why are MBA students taught that Markowitz did those formulas and not Roy when Markowitz himself admits Roy did them and that he Markowitz did not?

17. Markowitz thanks Kenneth Arrow in 1955 for giving him the idea of what his thesis at UChicago was, an algorithm for mean variance optimization with short sale constraints. Wolfe did this too at about the same time. These were published in the Naval Research Logistics Quarterly c. 1956. Jacob Wolfowitz, also published in that journal.

18. The Markowitz article was published in March 1952 in Journal of Finance, a second rate journal edited at U Chicago business school. This Markowitz article contained no important formulas as results, just a graph to illustrate mean variance choice with short sale constraints. There is no formula even today for that, just an algorithm. The Roy article was published in July 1952 in Econometrica, the top journal in econ, in July 1952. Econometrica was also edited at U Chicago, in effect by the Cowles Commission. The Roy article did mean variance choice without short sale constrainst and got the formula solutions taught to MBA’s and in textbooks today that are credited to Markowitz. Jacob Wolfowitz wrote the article after Roy’s in the July 1952 issue. Did Wolfowitz know why the managing editor resigned?

19. Did Jacob Wolfowitz tell this to Paul Wolfowitz before Jacob died in 1981?

20. There are many ties from Jacob Wolfowitz to MIT econ in 1969, the year that Robert C. Merton, Paul A. Samuelson, and Stanley Fischer duplicated in part the 1966 UCLA thesis of Hakansson. These include Robert Engle, Robert Solow, and others. Search on Jacob Wolfowitz in the Nobel Prize site.

21. Did Valery Makarov put pressure on US profs at the 1972 Warsaw economics conference? Attendees included Martin Weitzman, then at MIT, now at Harvard, William A. Brock, Martin J. Beckmann and othes.

These are questions, speculation, hypotheses or opinion. All other disclaimers apply.

Debunking CSIS Obaid Myth Saudi Foreign Fighters in Iraq

November 16, 2006

Nawaf Obaid is a Saudi national security and intelligence consultant based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia“. In September 2005 he coauthored a CSIS reporting saying that only 12 percent of foreign fighters in Iraq were Saudi. The CSIS source is a report by Obaid from what seems to be a Saudi entity. Obaid’s job as a consultant to Saudi intelligence is to write reports that say Saudi Arabia is not linked to terrorism?
Lisa Myers at NBC on June 20, 2005 and Susan B. Glasser Washington Post on May 15, 2005 reported that over 50 percent of the foreign fighters in Iraq were Saudi. See bottom for more on this. This Obaid CSIS “study” is disinformation to try to get the MSM to drop its own careful reporting.

Nawaf Obaid Adjunct Fellow, Arleigh A. Burke Chair in Strategy “Nawaf Obaid is a Saudi national security and intelligence consultant based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is currently the managing director of the Saudi National Security Assessment Project.”

The Obaid CSIS report is titled:

Saudi Militants in Iraq: Assessment and Kingdom’s Response
Saudi Militants in Iraq: Assessment and Kingdom’s Response -pdf
It cites the “Saudi National Security Assessment Project” as its source. Obaid is the managing director of the Saudi National Security Assessment Project.
Nawaf Obaid is a Saudi national security and intelligence consultant based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is currently the managing director of the Saudi National Security Assessment Project.”

The title of the CSIS report sounds like a Saudi employee or consultant of the Saudi government wrote it.

It seems likely that Obaid’s job for Saudi intelligence as a consultant is to convince the West that Saudi Arabia is not linked to terrorism. So he writes a CSIS report under CSIS, which is linked to Carlyle group, and he cites his own Saudi National Security Assessment Project as the source of the analysis.

It in turn analyzed data from Saudi intelligence according to page 5 of the above report. It appears Obaid is the one who was paid by Saudi intelligence to do this data analysis of Saudi intelligence non-public data. The result according to Obaid is that only 12 percent of foreign fighters in Iraq are Saudi.

Report attacks ‘myth’ of foreign fighters

Frank Carlucci

“Mr. Carlucci has been a managing director of the Carlyle Group since 1989, chairman since 1993, and chairman emeritus since 2003.” “Mr. Carlucci graduated from Princeton University and attended Harvard Business School.”

Saudi intelligence reports sent through Saudi entities to the CSIS are like “salted peanuts” to the Washington establishment. The 9-11 Commission of Kean Hamilton that ignored the 2003 Congressional report finding links between the Saudis and the 9-11 hijacker was one big jar of “salted peanuts”.

Boston Globe article including Obaid research before Sep 2005 report.

“However, interrogations of nearly 300 Saudis captured while trying to sneak into Iraq and case studies of more than three dozen others who blew themselves up in suicide attacks show that most were heeding the calls from clerics and activists to drive infidels out of Arab land, according to a study by Saudi investigator Nawaf Obaid, a US-trained analyst who was commissioned by the Saudi government and given access to Saudi officials and intelligence.”

“NBC 55 percent Foreign Fighers Saudi in Iraq”
“By Lisa Myers & the NBC Investigative Unit Updated: 8:39 p.m. ET June 20, 2005 Who are the foreign fighters in Iraq? An NBC News analysis finds 55 percent hail from Saudi Arabia Lisa Myers Senior investigative correspondent

• Profile An NBC News analysis of hundreds of foreign fighters who died in Iraq over the last two years reveals that a majority came from the same country as most of the 9/11 hijackers — Saudi Arabia.”"

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8293410/

“By far the nationality that comes up over and over again is Saudi Arabia,” says Evan Kohlmann, an NBC News terrorism expert.

The NBC News analysis of Web site postings found that 55 percent of foreign insurgents came from Saudi Arabia, 13 percent from Syria, 9 percent from North Africa and 3 percent from Europe.

The U.S. military also says Saudi Arabia and Syria are the leading sources of insurgents. An Army official provided a list of the top 10 countries to NBC News but would not release the numbers of foreign fighters from each. The top 10, alphabetically, are: Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, the Palestinian territories, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen.”

If the army had evidence that Saudis were 12 percent, they would publish it. That they don’t is consistent with “Saudi” Arabia heading the list.

“‘Martyrs’ In Iraq Mostly Saudis
Web Sites Track Suicide Bombings

By Susan B. Glasser
Washington Post Staff Writer
Sunday, May 15, 2005; Page A01

“In a paper published in March, Reuven Paz, an Israeli expert on terrorism, analyzed the lists of jihadi dead. He found 154 Arabs killed over the previous six months in Iraq, 61 percent of them from Saudi Arabia, with Syrians, Iraqis and Kuwaitis together accounting for another 25 percent. He also found that 70 percent of the suicide bombers named by the Web sites were Saudi.”

The apparent predominance of Saudi fighters on the Internet lists has caused an alarmed reaction by Saudi officials, who fear a backlash from the Americans at the same time they are trying to convince the United States that they are working as allies against terrorism. While Saudi officials do not deny that Saudi citizens have taken up arms against the United States in Iraq, they argue that the long lists of Saudi dead could be a disinformation tactic or simply a recruiting tool used to lure Arab youth to Iraq by convincing them of how many others have already won a place in Paradise.

“Are there Saudis in Iraq? Yes, we know that. Absolutely. But are there the numbers being bandied about? We really don’t believe so,” said a Saudi official who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing the sensitivity of the subject.

“The Internet sites try to recruit people — it’s the best recruitment tool,” said Saudi security analyst Nawaf Obaid. Obaid, who has worked closely with the government, said he found 47 cases of Saudis who were dead or injured reported in the kingdom’s newspapers, far lower than Internet totals, and had concluded the overall number of Saudi jihadis in Iraq was in the hundreds. “But young guys, they read [on the Internet] we have thousands of Saudis there and think, ‘I have to go, too.’ “

Evan F. Kohlmann, a researcher who monitors Islamic extremist Web sites, has compiled a list of more than 235 names of Iraqi dead gleaned from the Internet since last summer, with more than 50 percent on his tally from Saudi Arabia as well. In some cases, he found photos or videos of dead foreign fighters posted online. One Kuwaiti policeman who died was featured in a Zarqawi propaganda video called “Winds of Change,” while the bloodied corpse of a Turkish al Qaeda disciple, Habib Aktas, was shown on another video celebrating his “martyrdom.”"

Pakistan Test-Fires Medium-Range Missile With Ability to Carry Nuclear Warheads

November 16, 2006

“ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistan said it successfully test-fired a new version of its nuclear-capable medium-range missile Thursday — a show of power a day after peace talks with India that were criticized by domestic hard-liners.”

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/11/16/AR2006111600111_2.html

“The Pakistani military statement said Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz had witnessed the launch and congratulated scientists, engineers and the army for developing the new version of the missile.

“Pakistan can be justifiably proud of its defense capability and the reliability of its nuclear deterrence,” he said, according to the statement.”

“Pakistan believes in peace that “comes from a position of strength and operational readiness,” Aziz said.

He said Pakistan’s nuclear capability had reached full operational capability over the past seven years.”

From wiki

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaukat_Aziz

“He was appointed Executive Vice President of Citibank in 1992, reporting directly to the Chairman/CEO. Before taking leave from Citigroup, he was the head of its global Private Banking division, reporting directly to William Campbell, who was then head of the Global Consumer Group.

During his years at Citibank, he is alleged to have courted some politicians with notorious reputations such as Salinas of Mexico and Zardari of Pakistan.”

“In November, 1999, after the military ousted the elected government Mr. Aziz agreed to become the regime’s Minister of Finance, with responsibility for Finance, Economic Affairs, Statistics, Planning and Development, and Revenue Divisions.”

“n 2001, Mr Aziz was declared ‘Finance Minister of the Year’ by Euromoney and Banker’s Magazine. “

On 9-11, Pakistan had foreign debt of 38 billion US Dollars. This was more than its gross exports. Its central banker, Husain, said it had an unsustainable position on 9-11. The US wouldn’t let it roll over its debt and had sanctions on it because of its 1998 nuclear test.

On 9-12 or 9-13, Armitage had his meeting with General Ahmed of the ISI that ended up with Armitage threatening Pakistan. Armitage admits that but denies using the exact words “bomb them back to the stone age.” Ahmed may have used the history of Russia’s pressure for IMF loans based on the history relating to Stanley Fischer and Larry Summers. Bush may have used that during Bush v. Gore and Armitage and the neocons in 1998 to get the Iraq Liberation Act. This was not disclosed to the USAO Mass investigation of Harvard from 1997 to 2005. So the Bush team could have used that to pressure the Gore team or influence the Supreme Court during Bush v. Gore. Armitage signd the January 1998 PNAC letter with Paul Wolfowitz. The USAO Mass investigation of Harvard and the Russia grant became public in spring 1997.

In spring 1998, Pakistan and India did their nuclear tests. They knew of the whole history in economics and physics of Russia using plagiarism. This goes back to 1925. India and Pakistan had physicists who knew this, including Bhabha for India and M. A. B. Beg of Pakistan among others.

So in 1998, Russia got 4.8 more billion dollars in July 98 from Fischer and Summers, Harvard and the Clinton admin were not telling this to USAO Mass, Pakistan and India get nuclear tests, and LTCM and Goldman Sachs and university endowments were trading Russian government bonds which had high yields.

In August 1998, Russia defaulted, and likely knew who owned its bonds through registration, or could guess if held in street name. LTCM traded through Bear Stearns. The NY Fed arranged a bailout. The Vice Chairman of the Fed was Alan Blinder a Princeton econ prof. The current Fed chairman is Bernanke, a Princeton econ prof. The Swiss banks were investigated by Volcker, a Princeton econ prof and former fed Chairman. The Swiss banks had info on this as well, and possibly Marc Rich.

Congress held hearings in fall 98 on loans to Russia, the fed arranged bailout of LTCM, Iraq Liberation Act and Clinton impeachment. Paul Wolfowitz testified on Iraq Liberation Act. He may have known much of the history up to 1981 from his father Jacob. Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act at the end of October 1998. All of the above was kept from the hearings and possibly the USAO Mass investigation.

Then the House Republicans including Chris Cox and Porter Goss named Gore, Summers and Talbott as a troika running away with US policy towards Russia and hiding what they were doing. That was before Bush v. Gore.

John Yoo taught the IMF treaty at Berkeley in spring 2000. Yoo thanks Berkeley econ Ph.D./J.D. Howard Shelanski in his book defending torture and unitary executive theory. He also thanks Silberman for showing him how politics and Washington really work. Yoo was Hatch’s Chief Legal Counsel of Senate Judiciary Committee in the 1990’s. Yoo may have passed this info to Silberman and Hatch and then Scalia during Bush v. Gore. This may be why Scalia got the vote counting stopped before the final ruling and issued his own individual opinion to justify that, saying it was unfair to Bush to continue it if the court ruled against Gore.

Pakistan knew all this on 9-11. It knew it from Aziz and possibly others. One former PM of Pakistan had been a VP at World Bank in the 1980’s. Stanley Fischer was Chief Economist at World Bank in the 1980’s.

Pakistan is now using this history to continue its nuclear, missile and submarine program. Pakistan has nukes, subs and missiles. It is putting them together. We will have Pakistani subs off our coasts with nukes. They may sell them to Iran, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, etc.

Netanyahu: Iran is Germany; Ahmadinejad is preparing another Holocaust

November 16, 2006

“Drawing a direct analogy between Iran and Nazi Germany, Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu asserted Monday that the Iranian nuclear program posed a threat not only to Israel, but to the entire western world. There was “still time,” however, to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons, he said.”

Battle phase deaths in Iraq were under 200. Junior officers in WWI learned the wrong lesson, don’t fight Hitler in 1933 when battle phase deaths would have been under 2000.

A bombing campaign would let Iran use its residual subs and missiles to try to get our carriers. The time to fight wars is when battle phase deaths are 200 or even 2000.

China is getting US high tech and selling it to Iran. Time to stop the know-how transfer to China. But before that happens is the time to fight Iran. Every year we delay makes it worse.

Once Iran is occupied we can surround Pakistan and make it give up its nukes and bin Laden. The US from WTC 1993 to date has been unable to think strategically. Bush’s actions since 9-11 make no sense. He should have added 1 million men to the military and defeated and occupied the main enemy homelands that are the source of the attacks, men, money or threats before and after 9-11. Our window to act is running out.

Military victories change history.

Lawmakers Concerned About U.S.-India Nuclear Trade Deal

November 15, 2006

“U.S. law forbids selling nuclear technology to countries like India that have refused to sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty & the pending nuclear deal with India would reverse years of policies aimed at preventing the spread of nuclear weapons. Congressional leaders still have not seen the promised intelligence report as the Senate prepares to vote.”

Comments

http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn//comments/display?contentID=AR2006111401208&start=1&sub=AR

Many good comments above. India has substantial information on the Clinton and Bush administration. Russia got billions in IMF loans from professors in the 1990’s.

Russia had detailed info on the profs or their home universities, Harvard and MIT. Harvard was investigated starting in 1997 in connection with a HIID grant.

The info Russia had, India and Pakistan had as well as the Bush profs. In 1998, India and Pakistan got their nuclear tests, Russia another 4.8 billion dollars and the neocons got the Iraq Liberation Act. This was all during the Clinton impeachment, loans to Russia, LTCM bailout, and Iraq Liberation Act hearings. During Bush v. Gore, this history was known to both sides.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia knew it on 9-11. Ahmed, head of Pakistan’s ISI had a meeting with Armitage, who signed the 1998 PNAC letter. Ahmed may have raised this issue.

These methods go back to the 1920’s. Russia has talked about plagiarism by Western profs in print since 1937 and used this to pressure profs connected to Los Alamos during WWII. This was already known by both India and Pakistan in the 1950’s. After Klaus Fuchs’ arrest it was obvious. These methods were used to pressure Niels Bohr during WWII and Churchill was told and he threatened Bohr with jail.

See Russia Plagiarism files and other topics related to this.

The above is speculation, opinion and hypotheses. All other disclaimers apply.

Comments:

Iraq battle phase deaths were under 200. The time to fight wars is when our losses are 200 or even 2000 not 200,000 or 20 million. A ground invasion may cost fewer US deaths than bombing alone because a ground war increases our options to strike their counter strike options, but doesn’t give them more ability to strike our ships in the region.

They will hold back missiles to use on our ships. To root out those missiles we need ground troops. We don’t want carriers going down from their missiles. That will cost us far more lives than using ground troops from the start.

== Comment 2

The longer things go along, the higher the chance something will happen.

The Joint Chiefs recommended using force in the Cuban Missile crisis. We now know the Soviet commander had tac nukes and would have used them. Kennedy didn’t go along with the chiefs because of the Bay of Pigs. So it was probably 50/50 or higher that we would have had a nuclear war, and we got lucky.

With Iran, the ways of thinking are more different, and so war is far more likely than with the Soviets.

A bombing run on them will leave them with missiles and other forces including subs. Over time they will get one or more of our carriers. We have fewer deaths if we do a ground invasion and get it over. This cuts off the clock. That lowers the probability of bad outcomes for us. This applies to their missiles and their nukes.

Like Pakistan, they will sell what they have to make money, for ideology, to create an alliance against us, and because they don’t think like we do. Nuclear programs leak from the top, A Q Khan, middle, Klaus Fuchs, and bottom, David Greenglass.

We are overrun with spies in our universities, high tech businesses, H1B programs, etc. Why do we think it will be different for Iran when it isn’t for Pakistan?

Baker and Hamilton want to avoid public attention on their links to foreign governments and interests in time of war. American service men and women are injured by insurgents using Chinese night vision technology obtained from the US.

They have pushed H1B, student visas, majority non-Americans in physics Ph.D. programs, etc. They have given our know-how, factories, technology, and companies to China. They then supply it to the insurgents to use on our troops. We have people walking around with artificial limbs because of China supplying our night vision and other tech to the insurgents.

Baker Hamilton Bush have to avoid the public asking about this. They need nightly pictures from Iraq that focus attention on the visual, not these other questions.

If we withdrawal from Iraq, the nightly news won’t focus on pictures from Iraq. That means we go back and ask questions about Saudi Arabia, 9-11, Pakistan, etc. Those questions lead to big law firms like Baker Botts which represents Saudi Arabia in a lawsuit over 9-11.

Before and after 9-11, lobbying firms, CEO’s, law firms, former government officials have helped Saudi Arabia avoid answering questions about 9-11, pre 9-11 acts and post 9-11 acts. Once attention is off the nightly pictures from Iraq, it may focus on these issues.

China gets our technology and sells it to the insurgents. Saudi Arabia supplies men and money to the insurgents.

Baker Hamilton can avoid public attention on these things by recommending just stay the course in Iraq. That way they are free to go on making money by helping Saudi Arabia avoid answering questions and by giving our know-how to China which sells our night vision technology and everything else to the insurgents.
