Bataclan hanging pregnant woman can test in a door frame

November 18, 2015

It is claimed that a pregnant woman held herself up by her fingers on a ledge and her feet on a bar on a window below. The bar was relative to the horizontal of the wall recessed.

Try the following. Put your finger tips on top of a door jam.  Now walk your feet through the door. Keep your back out of the door frame and if possible keep your back jutting away from the door frame.  You will find the force on your fingers becomes huge.  You can’t hold on.

The force diagram for the woman is that the bars exert a horizontal force outward away from the wall.  Her back from the top is angling out. So her fingers at top have a tremendous horizontal force to balance. As shown by the above experiment, they can’t do it.

A man, known only as Sebastian, eventually pulled the woman from the window ledge as three armed ISIS suicide bombers roamed corridors picking off targets one by one.
Another friend, Frans-Alezandre Torreele, 29, said: ‘She and the unborn baby are fine. After being rescued, she phoned her boyfriend.’
